Cat D11 Dozer Access System enhances the machine with anti-slip stairs and a level platform featuring rubber mounted handrails.
This allows the operator to perform pre-start checks on the engine oil and radiator safely from the anti-slip platform.
Once the operator has climbed from ground level to the cab using the system, the operator simply releases the park brake and the access system folds, stores automatically, enabling him to commence work.
Vision to both the back and side of the blade is then unobstructed, as on a standard machine. Rubber mountings on both the main support mountings and the handrails eliminate any vibration.
The complete system is hydraulically operated and is actuated and interlocked with the park brake circuit. Park brake on for lowering and park brake off for raising.
The system features two emergency stop buttons, one mounted in the cab and the other on the lower step section.
This allows the system to be stopped at any time during its operation. Throughout both the raising and lowering phases, the reversing alarm beeps. From ground level to cabin all the step interval heights are equal. The steps and platform are serrated anti-slip grating. The steps also feature anti-slip nosings which are a must for wet weather and night time conditions.
Other dozer features and benefits include: |
|
There is a locking mechanism at the top of the access system which keeps the system locked firmly during normal operating practices. |
|
Eliminates operator exposure to slippery conditions |
|
Handrails are rubber
isomounted for long life |
|
Maintenance personnel tasks are enhanced by a level
anti-slip platform. |
|
Blade push arm and tracks in wet conditions. |
The system also features two rubber mounting brackets for hinging the system open, and to allow the system to open all major engine parts. In this position, the whole boarding system is vertically mounted on the radiator coupling by two mounting points, and the whole system folds forward with the radiator coupling allowing for engine changeout, without having to remove the access system. When the system is folded back to its normal position, the back, bottom, horizontal mounting block is refastened with ease, returning it to operational mode.
The Access Innovations Dozer Access System has been designed to enhance both operational and maintenance procedures helping you achieve higher productivity and safety in your operation. To find out more contact us.
